Paul Pogba Shine Once again at Euro 2020 Against Switzerland

No doubt Paul Pogba has been outstanding in the Euro 2020 for France squad. He has been playing well, as he keeps dominating the midfield in all the fixtures. His accurate passes, both long and short passes, and providing assist for his team mates has been a talk of time.

France and Switzerland played out an exciting contest Monday, with
Switzerland knocking out tournament favourites Les Bleus in penalties
after the teams played to a 3-3 tie through 120 minutes.

Switzerland who are going through to the quarter-finals, after a 5-4 shootout win. The first nine penalties were all converted, with Pogba’s effort particularly emphatic, but Yann Sommer saved from Kylian Mbappe to settle the contest on a truly dramatic night in Bucharest.

They will face Spain on Friday. Commiserations to Paul, who was excellent in midfield for the 2018 World Cup winners once more.

Manchester United officials and first-team stars are reportedly convinced that Paul Pogba has played his final match for the club despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggesting otherwise.

Pogba has been out with an ankle injury since the end of September and the 26-year-old midfielder was due to return earlier this week. After attending his brother’s wedding in France at the weekend, though, Pogba picked up a mystery illness and missed United’s Carabao Cup clash with Colchester on Wednesday night. Solskjaer has been adamant that Pogba remains a key part of his plans amid intense speculation that the France international is angling for a move to Real Madrid.

The United manager has repeatedly stressed that Pogba will be back playing for the club again before too long, but this is not a feeling shared by the entire club. According to The Mirror, several key members of the dressing room are now resigned to losing their team-mate and don’t expect him to pull on a United shirt again. The Red Devils have impressed in Pogba’s absence in recent weeks, winning four of their last five matches, including shock victories over Tottenham and Manchester City. It’s understood United have slapped a £150million price tag on the World Cup winner ahead of the January transfer window.

Asked about Pogba’s fitness on Tuesday, Solskjaer revealed: ‘Of all things, he’s dropped down ill now. ‘He’s been off for two or three days, three days probably, so that’s not beneficial. That’s probably set him back quite a bit. ‘As I’ve said so many times, Paul’s a top, top player who we want to see playing his best football at Man United. ‘We just need to get him fit, match fit might be half hour, 45, 60, 90 [minutes], who knows the first game. ‘But we’re working hard to get him back, but now he’s ill.’

“Peter and Paul dem be one no be two. Happy Birthday guys! I am lost
for words when it comes to your matter. I pray the Almighty God
continues to guide and protect you. I pray that our father in heaven
speaks to you individually and softens your hearts. I celebrate you
today. I love you two. You are both legends.

Well, it seems her brother in-law wasn’t too cool with the message. He wrote on his IG page:
