A US father took his three children to a theme park in Pennsylvania earlier this month but the next day, they were found dead.

In a news conference on Monday August 15, Berks County District Attorney John Adams confirmed 40-year-old Mark Short fatally shot them, their mother and their family dog in a murder-suicide.

On Aug. 6, police arrived at the Short’s home after receiving a call from his mother-in-law, who reported that her daughter, Megan Short, 33, was having domestic issues with her husband, Attorney John Adams said. She said that Megan Short had missed a lunch date with her, which left her worried.

“The mother unsuccessfully attempted to contact Megan via cellphone and house phone,” Adams said, so she contacted the police.

On that Saturday afternoon, officers entered their home through a kitchen window and found five bodies. Three were the Short children, 8-year-old Liana; 5-year-old Mark Jr.; and Willow, age 2. Megan Short, their mother, was also dead. A handgun was found next to the fifth body, a man later identified as Mark Jason Short Sr.

Adams this week detailed the events that led up to the fatal shootings at the Pennsylvania home in a news conference Monday. The incident made national headlines earlier this month: how Short and the children had visited Hersheypark; how husband and wife were in the midst of separating; and how Megan Short had gotten an apartment and was planning to move.

Authorities believe Mark Short was the gunman in the murder-suicide; he is believed to have shot his wife and children before turning the firearm on himself, officials said.

“These children were young,” Adams said. “And whenever we lose youthful, innocent human beings, it’s never easy for a community to recover from that. So the fact of the matter is, is that it will be difficult, and hopefully we will remember these children for years to come, and how their lives were innocently taken by their father.”

Authorities say Megan Short had made plans for her future. She had rented an apartment and was planning to finishing moving on Aug. 6, the day the bodies were discovered. Adams told reporters that family members were at the apartment, waiting to help her move. They called a neighbor when she didn’t show, and later, Megan Short’s mother called police.

An investigation found that in early June, security was called to a Philadelphia hotel room where Megan and Mark Short were staying. The reason: a domestic dispute, Adams said. Then, on July 18, police responded to the Short home, and again, it was because of a domestic dispute. No charges were filed, and no physical injuries were discovered.

“The police department did everything that they are legally able to do in that situation,” the district attorney said.

Mark Short purchased ammunition and a gun, a .38-caliber revolver, in July, one day after the domestic dispute was reported. He was going to rent a moving van to help Megan Short with the move, according to Adams.

The bodies were all discovered on the floor in a living room area of the home, said the district attorney. Authorities also found a one-page note, some of which was admission that Mark Short bought the firearm and committed the homicides.

“This was very, very unfortunate incident,” Adams said. “I don’t know that anything can be learned, other than when leaving an abusive relationship, it’s often a very dangerous time for a victim. So we urge anyone who is in a similar situation to develop a safety plan and contact their local domestic violence agency for assistance.

Although the news of his passing has not been officially confirmed by the Actor Guild president, Emeka Rollas, his fans on the X platform are deeply mourning his demise.

In 2023, he experienced a stroke that resulted in partial paralysis of his left leg. He underwent weekly dialysis and physiotherapy for the paralysis, but his health deteriorated significantly recently.

Nyesome Wike Has Formed a Nine-Man Panel To Investigate The death of Ms. Greatness Tolulope Olorunfemi Who Was Stabbed and Push Out from a Moving Vehicle By One-Chance Criminals in Abuja.

Nyesome Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has formed a nine-member independent and investigative team to investigate the murder of Ms. Greatness Tolulope Olorunfemi, 33.

The panel was comprised of the Nigerian Medical Association, Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, Medical Women Association of Nigeria, National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Association of Resident Doctors, Association of Pathologists of Nigeria, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection, according to a statement signed by Badiru Salisu Yakassi on behalf of the Mandate Secretary, FCT Health Service & Environment Secretariat, Dr Dolapo Fasawe.

The minister offered his condolences to the deceased’s family and friends, while also promising them that the investigation will be undertaken with the highest transparency, integrity, and professionalism.

According to the release, the investigating panel would be launched on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the health and environment secretariat in Area 11, Abuja.

“The Secretariat appreciates the patience and understanding of the people, and also promises that the findings of the panel will be made available to the public as soon as it is concluded,” stated the statement.

Miss Olorunfemi was claimed to have died after being stabbed and thrown out of a car by ‘one-chance’ criminals.

It was also claimed that medical staff at Maitama General Hospital refused to treat her due to a lack of a police record, allowing her to bleed to death.

The police have already started looking into her death.

MohBad The Nigerian singer who died on Tuesday 12 September 2023 has been laid to rest in Ikorodu

Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has been laid to rest in Ikorodu, Lagos state.

The 27-year-old singer died on Tuesday, September 12 with controversies rife about the cause of his death.

Some reports claimed that he had sought medical treatment for an ear
infection but, after receiving an injection, he lost consciousnesses and
failed to wake up.

While some others claimed that he died as a result of heart complication as a result of drugs.

Amid conflicting reports surrounding his death, the singer is
reported to have been buried today, September 13, less than 24 hours
after his tragic passing, according to Islamic rites.

Several clips on social media showed the burial procession as many wailed when his coffin was lowered to the ground.

The partner of the late Nigerian artiste, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba,
aka MohBad, has disclosed the singer “struggled till death”.

The lady, identified as Wunmi, also claimed that the singer was never “happy for a whole day”.

Wunmi, who took to her Instagram handle @c33why to share a
picture of the baby she had with the singer, claimed the late artiste
was called a junkie so the public could have another perception of him.

She said the former Marlian record signee always lived with
fears, adding that his worry doubled after the birth of their now
five-month-old baby, Liam.

“This Nigga struggled till death, too many pains, threatening (sic).
He had always lived with fears, continuous fights everywhere he goes
too, he has never been happy for a whole day… he was called a junkie, a
mad person, mental issue so the public would have another view about
him… he’s dead at least you all won, take your trophy.

“Ya’ll made a widow at 24 years 🥹 Olorun idajo re daaa (sic),” she wrote in a series of posts on her Insta story.

“Nothing makes him happy no more, even after seeing his baby he became
more worried, he’s now a family man he doesn’t want anything to happen
to us…

“I was supposed to collect my baby’s passport yesterday so we could
process our travelling, he always says to me… Wunmi pls go for my baby’s
sake, I wouldn’t want these people to harm you and him it will break
me… You just go, let me face them myself. Ilerioluwa rest in peace… You
really need that peace,” she added.

Steadygist reports that the singer died on Tuesday at the age of 27. Mohbad’s management also released an official statement confirming his passing away.

”It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Promise
Oladimeji Aloba PK/A Mohbad (Imole) today, the 12th of September, 2023.

“Mohbad was light until the very end, and as we mourn the loss of
the brightness he carried, the family thanks you for your love and
prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this
difficult time.

“Imole is finally at Peace,” the short statement posted on both his Instagram and X handles read.
