Supporters and admirers of the Nigerian musician Skales are feeling uneasy and troubled following his upload of a video depicting his bloodied countenance.

The vocalist shared a clip on Instagram on May 6, 2024, displaying him delicately wiping his blood-soaked visage with a tissue. The footage revealed wounds on his head, temple, and nasal bridge, marked by gashes. While Skales refrained from elaborating on the source of his injuries, he conveyed his appreciation in the caption, stating, “THANK YOU JESUS.”

The post led to a series of reactions from his followers and fellow celebrities who in turn expressed their concern in the comment section. Singer Nasboi said, “I am so sorry my brother 😢.” Nollywood actor Deyemi asked, “Accident? Sorry man”.

Big Brother Naija star Queen Mercy Atang commented, “Jesus Christ. What happened 😢,” while popular producer T-classic said, “Damn, I just hope this a makeup for a shoot.”

While some followers worried about the singer, others remained sceptical about Skales’ post and injuries.

A follower said, “First me I know say nothing fit do u because oil Dey ur head … The make up artist is dope! Special effects 👏👏 the fact say na tissue paper u hold na him give am out .. when is the video coming out?”

“If this was real, you’d be In the hospital right now. Stop fooling around, get in the studio and sing,” another follower said.

Another commenter said, “Bro I almost got tricked mehnnnn. 😂 I don enter your WhatsApp now now. 😂 you try shaaa 👏”

Absolutely! My album is complete – presently, we are just adding finishing touches to it. So, to answer your question; yes an album is on the way and it promises to be classic!.

Speaking about his new song ‘Temper’ featuring Burnaboy

Truth be told; the story behind the ‘Temper’ remix is quite an interesting one. I sent Burna the instrumental to record a verse and he changed the whole song. Also, the chemistry between him and I was instantaneous and strong; hence the success. We also had a direction for the song; as we intended it to be a street anthem which will resonate with everyone out there.
