OMG!!! ‘I was born without a womb, cervix and vagina’ – Woman writes

Published

on

27 year old Joanna Giannouli, says she has rare condition that affects around one in 5,000 women. She says she has no womb, cervix and upper vagina. Speaking to Harry Low of BBC, Joanna said;

When we first saw the doctor, my father put on a brave face. My mother, on the other hand, didn’t take it so well. She blamed herself for the past 10 years. It was really heartbreaking to see her like that. We didn’t talk about it much for the first five years. I wasn’t able to talk about it. I felt destroyed and incredibly weak.

My mother believes she may have done something wrong in her pregnancy. I’ve explained to her that she didn’t do anything wrong, it was just genes. It’s a condition that is stigmatised. The most hurtful thing was when I was abandoned after my former partner found out. I was engaged when I was 21, living in Athens. When I told my fiance about the condition, he broke off the engagement.

That all belongs in the past and I am OK now. For the past five years, fortunately, I have had a stable and loving relationship. He knew from the beginning that I have this condition and he chose to stay with me. He knows that maybe the future will be without children. He’s OK with it. I’m also OK with that. I am one of the luckiest.

My mother took me to our family doctor when I was 14 because I still wasn’t menstruating. He didn’t examine me because he wouldn’t touch my private parts and when I became 16 he sent me to a hospital to be checked out. They realised that I didn’t have a vaginal tunnel and I had Rokitansky syndrome. Because I was born without a functional vagina, the doctors had to make one in order for me to have sex.

It went well, really well. I stayed in a hospital for about two weeks, in order to recover. Then I had to be about three months laying on a bed – I couldn’t get up. I did vaginal exercises in order to expand my new vaginal tunnel. The first sign of it is you have primal amenorrhea – you don’t have any menstruation at all. Apart from that, you cannot have sexual intercourse. That’s why I had major surgery aged 17. The doctors made me a new one. It was a revolutionary procedure in Athens.

The new vagina the doctors made was narrow and small, and it caused me a lot of pain while having sex, and I had to expand the perineum by doing vaginal exercises. It’s a small area underneath the vagina. It’s skin, it’s tissue, and they had to cut it more in order to expand the entrance, as I call it.
After that I was OK physically, but I was not OK emotionally. It’s a burden, like something that you cannot get rid of it. I had partners who emotionally abused me about this condition.

I couldn’t have a stable relationship for many years because of that. It is a haunting and unbearable situation. It steals your happiness, your mentality, your chances of having a good and stable relationship. It leaves you with a huge void that cannot be filled, it fills you with anger, guilt, and shame.

Apart from that, it was hard afterwards. It was just taking a toll on me emotionally, psychologically – it was really, really hard.

Well, it’s been almost 10 years. I’m still feeling bad about it but I’m not ashamed any more, it’s been way too long. And I’ve realised that I cannot change it, it’s just the way it is, I have to embrace it and live with it.

For the first few years, and still sometimes, I thought I was worthless. Damaged goods. Not worthy of being loved. I was a lost soul for many years. It can destroy your life. It puts you in a really hard position. I battled depression, anxiety, panic attacks, you name it.

It taught me a lesson. Although I don’t believe in God, I do believe that this was a huge wake-up call – never take anything for granted.

I was reborn. It gave me a new life, a new identity. It changed the course of my life. Before, I was a typical teenager with ups and downs. Afterwards, I became really, really mature. I grew up rapidly. I am thankful for that.

This defined me as a person. I am living each day as it is. I am not making any future plans because I don’t know if I’m going to be alive.

Not many people know this about me. I wanted to keep it a secret and my mum told family members. It wasn’t the best experience because people pity you. I don’t want people to feel sorry for me. I’m not dying, I’m not in danger. People had this pitiful look. It made me feel sadder about myself.
I couldn’t talk about it because in Athens – in Greece generally – people are really close-minded. Sometimes it felt like I was living in the Middle Ages.

I couldn’t find a support group in Greece, I couldn’t find anyone else to talk about it. And I needed someone to talk about it! It was huge, and most women with the condition are ashamed, really. I’ve found a couple of women that were willing to talk about it, and after a while they disappeared because they were ashamed of it.

I would love to be a mother in some way, be it a biological, a surrogate mother or a foster mum. A mother is not the one who gives birth but is the woman who cares for a child.
At this stage of my life, I’m not thinking about it but maybe in the future I will have children. I love kids, we will see.

It is liberating to talk about it. I want to support every woman that has this condition because I have been through hell and I know what problems this can cause. Many women have committed suicide because of this. It can be really depressing.

I found the strength and courage because I want to help other women in the same position because if we don’t help each other then who will? It gives me strength when I talk about it.

This disclosure sheds light on the pervasive issue of scams in the music industry and the challenges upcoming artists face in their quest for success. In this article, we explore the details of Seyi Vibez’s experience, the broader implications for the music industry, and measures that can help protect aspiring artists.

The Scamming Incident: A Detailed Account

Seyi Vibez’s Ambition and Approach

Seyi Vibez, whose real name is Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, is an emerging talent in the Nigerian music scene. With a passion for music and a dream of joining one of Africa’s most renowned labels, he set his sights on Wizkid’s Starboy Entertainment. In his pursuit, Seyi Vibez reached out to what he believed were legitimate representatives of the label.

The Scam Unfolds

Unbeknownst to Seyi Vibez, he had fallen into the hands of fraudsters posing as agents of Starboy Entertainment. These scammers, exploiting the aspirations of hopeful artists, demanded significant sums of money as processing fees, promising a spot on the label. Seyi Vibez, eager to advance his career, complied with their requests, only to realize later that he had been duped.

Financial and Emotional Impact

The financial loss from the scam was substantial, but the emotional toll was even greater. Seyi Vibez faced the harsh reality of being deceived, which affected his trust and morale. This experience underscores the vulnerabilities that many young artists encounter in their journey toward success.

Broader Implications for the Music Industry

Prevalence of Scams

Scams targeting aspiring musicians are unfortunately common. Fraudsters take advantage of the high competition and desperation within the industry, luring victims with promises of fame and fortune. This phenomenon is not limited to Nigeria but is a global issue that requires urgent attention.

Impact on Aspiring Artists

Such scams can have devastating effects on budding artists. Beyond financial losses, victims often experience significant setbacks in their careers. Trust issues and disillusionment can lead to a loss of motivation and confidence, making it harder for them to pursue their dreams.

Industry Reputation

The prevalence of scams tarnishes the reputation of the music industry. Legitimate entities may struggle to gain the trust of new talent, and the overall credibility of the industry can be compromised. Addressing this issue is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the music business.

Protective Measures for Aspiring Artists

Verification of Opportunities

One of the most effective ways to prevent falling victim to scams is through thorough verification. Aspiring artists should independently verify the credentials of anyone claiming to represent a record label. Direct contact with the label through official channels can help confirm the legitimacy of the opportunity.

Awareness and Education

Raising awareness about common scams in the music industry is essential. Educational initiatives can help young artists recognize red flags and understand the importance of due diligence. Workshops, online resources, and mentorship programs can provide valuable guidance.

Legal Assistance

Seeking legal advice before entering any agreement is another critical step. Contracts and financial transactions should be reviewed by legal professionals to ensure they are legitimate and fair. Legal support can offer protection and recourse in case of fraudulent activities.

Building a Support Network

Having a reliable support network of industry professionals, mentors, and fellow artists can provide guidance and advice. Networking within the industry can help aspiring artists navigate challenges and identify genuine opportunities.

Conclusion

Seyi Vibez’s experience of being scammed while trying to join Wizkid’s label serves as a cautionary tale for aspiring musicians. It highlights the importance of vigilance, verification, and education in protecting oneself from fraud. By taking proactive measures, young artists can safeguard their careers and pursue their dreams with greater confidence. As the music industry continues to evolve, collective efforts are needed to combat scams and support emerging talent.

How I lured, killed 7 ladies for money ritual through hookup app’ – Suspect

Published

on

A suspected ritual killer, Adebayo Olamide Azeez, on Thursday revealed how he lured seven women through a dating app, “mychat” to their untimely death for ritual purposes.

Azeez, 32, confessed to being a member of a ritualist gang which specialised in killing women and selling their body parts for money rituals.

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command had earlier arrested and paraded members of the gang, namely, Moses Abidemi Awuraji, Oluwo Samuel Monday, Peter Oluwalolese, Jamiu Yusuf, Akinwunmi Ifatosin, Sherifff Agbai and Osojieahen Alioneitouria.

They were all arrested for allegedly killing a 35-year-old woman, Sulaimon Adijat, for money ritual.

Azeez, who had been on the run, but was later arrested by the police, said he joined the gang in September last year and has participated in the killing of seven women.

He spoke when suspected criminals were paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu.

Alamutu said the suspect conspired with Moses Abidemi Awuraji, a herbalist, to kill the victims for money ritual.

“The suspects strangled their victims to death and dismembered their body parts and sold them to Oluwo Monday Samuel and Alfa Ariwo (who is still at large) for ritual purposes.

“The three suspects confessed to the killing of ten different ladies at the Igbo Olomi residence of Moses Abidemi,” Alamutu said.

Narrating how he lured and killed the victims, Azeez said, “I got the ladies from MyChat, which is a hookup app. I just told them that I wanted to hook up with them whenever Moses Abidemi Awuraji contacted me that they needed human body parts.

“They will call me and say that they need body parts, I will go on the app and chat with the ladies for a hookup. I didn’t know the ladies before, we didn’t have any conversation before, I only talked to them on the app. I ask if they are available and we negotiate on the amount they want to collect. When we reach an agreement, I will send my address to them and they will come over to me at Atan-Ota.

“I will pick them up and call Moses Abidemi Awuraji that they are around, I will then take them to Moses Abidemi Awuraji’s house in Igbo Olomi, Atan-Ota, and inside his sitting room, we will kill them.

“Abidemi’s wife (Awuraji Mariam) will pin their legs down while I strangle them.

“I joined the gang in September in 2023 and we have killed seven ladies. These are the ladies that I brought to the house that we killed.

“I don’t know what they use the corpses of the ladies for, my job is just to source for the ladies and bring them in. They don’t usually tell me the amount they will give, at times, they will pay me N30,000, other times, they gave me N40,000.

“I can’t say no to them whenever they ask me to bring the ladies. I don’t know who they sell the body parts to and I don’t ask them about it, my own is just to source the ladies and collect my money.”

Meanwhile, Alamutu said the Command is working assiduously to unravel the identity of other victims.

He urged members of the public with missing relatives to report to the police with photographers of the missing persons.

Everything You Need to Know About Daith Piercings: Price, Healing, Pain, Care, and Side Effects

Published

on

Daith piercings have surged in popularity in recent years, not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for potential health benefits. Originating from the ear’s innermost cartilage fold, this unique piercing has garnered attention for its potential to alleviate migraine symptoms, among other benefits. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll delve into all aspects of daith piercings, covering everything from the price and healing process to pain levels, materials used, care tips, and potential side effects.

What is a Daith Piercing?

A daith piercing is a type of ear piercing that passes through the innermost fold of the cartilage in the ear. It’s usually located just above the ear canal, in a small area known as the crus of the helix. The name “daith” originates from the Hebrew word for “wisdom,” reflecting the piercing’s placement in the ear’s innermost recesses.

Price:

The cost of a daith piercing can vary depending on several factors, including the piercing studio’s location, reputation, and the expertise of the piercer. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from $30 to $100 for the piercing itself. This price typically includes the cost of the initial piercing, the jewelry, and aftercare instructions.

Healing Time:

Like any other piercing, the healing time for a daith piercing can vary from person to person. On average, it takes about 6 to 12 months for a daith piercing to fully heal. During this time, it’s crucial to follow proper aftercare procedures to prevent infections and promote healing.

Pain Level:

The pain level associated with getting a daith piercing is subjective and can vary depending on individual pain tolerance. However, since the daith is located in a relatively thick section of cartilage, many people report that the pain is moderate to severe during the piercing process. Some describe it as a sharp, intense sensation, while others may feel a dull pressure. However, the pain usually subsides quickly after the piercing is complete.

Materials:

When it comes to materials used for daith piercings, it’s essential to choose hypoallergenic options to minimize the risk of allergic reactions and infections. Common materials for daith piercing jewelry include surgical stainless steel, titanium, niobium, and 14k or 18k gold. It’s best to avoid cheaper metals like nickel, as they can cause irritation and allergic reactions in some individuals.

How to Care for a Daith Piercing:

Proper aftercare is essential for promoting healing and preventing complications with your daith piercing. Here are some general care tips to follow:

  1. Cleanse the piercing twice daily using a saline solution or sterile saline wound wash.
  2. Avoid touching the piercing with dirty hands.
  3. Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, or bodies of water until the piercing is fully healed.
  4. Be gentle when washing your hair and avoid getting shampoo or conditioner directly on the piercing.
  5. Avoid sleeping on the side of the pierced ear to prevent irritation.
  6. Avoid using alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or harsh cleansers on the piercing, as they can dry out the skin and delay healing.

Side Effects of a Daith Piercing:

While daith piercings are generally safe when performed by a professional piercer using sterile equipment, there are some potential side effects to be aware of. These may include:

  1. Infection: Signs of infection include redness, swelling, tenderness, and discharge from the piercing site. If you suspect an infection, seek medical attention promptly.
  2. Migration and Rejection: In some cases, the body may reject the piercing, leading to migration or partial expulsion of the jewelry. This can occur due to various factors, including improper placement, poor aftercare, or individual anatomy.
  3. Keloids: Some individuals may be prone to keloid formation, which is an overgrowth of scar tissue at the piercing site. Keloids can be itchy, tender, and aesthetically displeasing.
  4. Allergic Reactions: Allergic reactions to piercing jewelry are possible, especially if the jewelry contains nickel or other allergenic metals. Symptoms may include redness, itching, and swelling around the piercing site.

Conclusion:

Daith piercings offer a unique and stylish way to accessorize your ears, but it’s essential to understand the potential risks and proper aftercare procedures associated with this type of piercing. By choosing a reputable piercer, following strict aftercare guidelines, and monitoring for any signs of complications, you can enjoy your daith piercing safely and minimize the risk of side effects. If you’re considering getting a daith piercing, consult with a professional piercer to discuss your options and ensure a positive piercing experience.
